Charities
Every fan plays for one charity in their own city. If you are not sure who to play for, read about them here. Every dollar your picks win is banked for the one you choose.
How a charity gets here
Each city offers a short list each year rather than everyone we have checked. That is on purpose: donations shared a hundred ways do not amount to much for anybody, and a place on this list is meant to be worth having.
Every charity on this page is vetted before a single dollar is raised for it. We confirm its 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, and we look for a rating of at least 3 stars on Charity Navigator, the independent service that grades how well a charity is run and how it handles its money. Charity Navigator does not rate every small local charity, so where there is no rating we look into the charity ourselves and write down what we found.
We also ask each charity before we use its name or logo, and we tell them the money is coming.
The charity list for the coming season is not published yet. It will appear here before registration opens.
